the savage is a good entry level bike, and i agree that i would not want to take it on a long ride. it's too light, seat is too hard, squirrely when i ride my girlfriend, but the son -of -a - buck is cuter than a bugs ear and gets attention everywhere i go. i plan to "step up" to a larger bike, but keep the savage for my son in law to ride with me and short trips. i agree with you WD, you can't pretend that it's a cruising bike, it's just a fun bike that i enjoy. after reading some of the follow-ups, can i add.."anyone wanna join me in a chorus of Kumbaya?"
